Interfaith Talk?
In this country of diverse faiths and cultures, it is important for us to understand each others beliefs. The first Interfaith Talk was held at the Exam Hall on June 6, 2001. Ever since, this interfaith forum has become a biannual programme of Multimedia University, Melaka Campus. The main objective of this forum is to clear misconceptions by presenting these beliefs correctly based on scriptures and from the viewpoint of its followers.
Four speakers representing Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism & Hinduism will speak on a selected topic according to their beliefs. Speakers may touch on positive characteristics of other religions.
In the first round, each speaker speaks for 20 minutes. This is followed by the Question & Answer Session for 90 minutes and summary by each speaker in 5 minutes.
